The City of College Park welcomes new businesses to start and open locations in the City. The Economic Development Staff is available to assist you with:

Development/Permitting Process
The City of College Park’s permitting process often involves a first visit to the Economic Development offices. There you will meet the staff who will work to introduce you to other departments that assist you with finding answers regarding your proposed projects.

Business Attraction Incentives
The City of College Park, Georgia offers customized incentive packages to heldp attract business.

Our incentives include:

Property Tax Abatement
Special tax consideration through taxable bond-issued financing for a qualified operation through the College Park Business and Industrial Development Authority. (BIDA) 

Bond Financing
Industrial Revenue Bonds are available through the City of College Park Business and Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) for real and personal property. 

Tax Allocation Districts (TADs) 
The City of College Park has a TAD offering infrastucture financing and special development incentives for qualifying projects. The district was created to incentivize development in targeted areas around the City of College Park.

Opportunity Zone (OZ)
The City of College Park has a dedicated Opportunity Zone located adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, in the heart of downtown College Park.  College Park's Opportunity Zone, as designated by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, offers $3,500 per job tax credit for up to 5 years, applied against state withholding tax for qualifying jobs. 

Enterprise Zones
The City of College Park has two designated Enterprise Zones.  One zone is located in the Downtown area and extends to areas west of the Georiga International Convention Center and the Gateway Center.  The other zone is in the area of Old National Highway and the Godby Road corridor.  College Park's five-member City Council works with businesses to set minimum employment requirements and the duration of the Enterprise Zone agreement. This incentive can give abatement on real and personal business property taxes.
