    Our Mission

The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts is committed to building strong vibrant communities and improving the quality of life of its citizens through a variety of recreational and cultural arts initiatives. The Department promotes and advances the rich history of its athletics, and heritage of its parks and recreational facilities. Lush green space, innovative programming, inclusiveness, and recreation equality are all hallmarks of the Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts.

                            About Us

The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts was founded in 1955 by the City of College Park, as the Recreation Department. The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts consists of three centers today: Wayman and Bessie Brady, Hugh C. Conley and Tracey Wyatt, formerly known as the Godby Road Center. Each center offers various activities for both youth and adults.

The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts consists of parks, pavilions, tennis courts and walking trails for your leisure enjoyment. Pavilions at our parks can be reserved for activities as well as our Historic College Park City Auditorium. College Park also has a state of the art golf academy.

Community Corale

The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts is excited to announce the formation of the College Park Community Chorale! We are thrilled about this new initiative and want to invite you to be a part of it. Not only are you invited to join, but all City of College Park residents and friends can join us in song, so please help us spread the word. Attached is a flyer you can circulate among your family, friends, civic and church groups and neighbors via your social media channels and email.

If singing brings you joy, then you will definitely want to contact us by reply to this message today to secure your spot. Rehearsal days and times are being ironed out as we speak and we will notify all who reply once the schedule is final.
