College Park Seeks New Public Works Director

Stellar Customer Service Remains Top Priority

College Park, GA - The City of College Park announced today that it is seeking a new director for its Public Works Department.

The department offers a variety of exceptional services, including stormwater, street maintenance, sewer services and twice-weekly sanitation collection.  The department maintains 24-hour emergency response.  

College Park Interim City Manager Mercedes Miller has tapped Director of Infrastructure & Development - Jackson Myers to manage the Public Works Director duties on an interim basis. This will ensure that all services and projects will continue seamlessly while the search for a permanent replacement is conducted.

“The Public Works Director is the backbone of our city,” Miller stated.  The Interim City Manager  believes in providing exceptional city services adding, “We know that our residents have come to expect a certain level of service from our Public Works team. That service will continue during this time of transition.” 

The College Park Public Works Department celebrates clean up month during April, where it  collects hazardous materials, furniture, appliances and tires at no extra fee.  There is also a shredder event on Saturday, April 17 allowing citizens to drop off paper documents at the public works facility to be shredded on-site.
