Overview
Named one of Atlanta Magazine's Best Places to Call Home" and nationally known as a "Mecca for Brunch,  the City of College Park has become one of the most exciting communities in which to live, work and play within the greater metropolitan Atlanta area.

Under the planning and direction of Economic Development Director Michelle Alexander, a major marketing effort has been launched, destined to attract major business interests to the region.

Location
A well-established community with an individuality all its own, College Park is located near the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Interstates I-85 and I-285, the CSX Railroad and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).

Residents and visitors alike will find that this revitalized city offers the best of Southern hospitality in its city services, local restaurants, lodging accommodations, parks and recreation, and community events.

Benefits of Living in College Park
College Park has all the benefits of a large city, while preserving the neighborliness of a hometown. Its' close proximity to Atlanta provides residents and visitors alike with easy access to colleges and universities, shopping and other places of interest.

The city also boasts being home to the largest private school in the United States, Woodward Academy, as well as The Main Street Academy, a K-8 public charter school proudly serving the Tri-Cities area.

Historic District
Originating from a land grant awarded in 1846, College Park has the fourth largest urban historic district in Georgia with 867 structures on the Historic Register.

The City’s historical collection consists of homes, monuments, businesses, schools, churches, parks, a cemetery, government building and railway station.

Downtown

A city where growth and progress embrace the past to enhance the future, downtown College Park anchors the city with its historic Main Street business district.

Through assistance from the College Park Development/Main Street Office, new specialty businesses are replacing once vacant storefronts and transitional businesses.

Gateway Center Campus
The Gateway Center Campus is comprised of the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), the Gateway Center Arena, the Historic College Park Golf Course, 4 hotels, with 2 more under construction, a Class-A office building as well as a BMW Training Center, along with multiple dining options.All connected by the ATL Skytrain, a complimentary 2-minute ride to and from the airport and the Centralized Rental Car Center (Con-RAC). Once the soon-to-be completed pedestrian bridge over Camp Creek Parkway is finished it will connect the Gateway Center Campus to the Historic downtown area, making it even easier for conference and convention attendees to enjoy all that Main St. has to offer.

GICC
Georgia's second largest convention center with metro Atlanta's largest ballroom, is just around the corner from the Historic Business District in the City of College Park and sits on the Gateway Center Campus. The GICC is uniquely positioned to offer its guests and clients unprecedented convenience.


Gateway Center Arena
Gateway Center Arena @College Park is a state-of-the-art 5,000-seat venue located on the Gateway Center Campus, just around the corner from the College Park Main Street area and accessible via a two-minute Skytrain ride from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It is home to the ATL Dream and CP Skyhawks.

Historic College Park Golf Course
The Historic College Park Golf Course was built in 1929. Its undulating fairways and elevated greens make it one of the most challenging courses in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. It is owned by the City of College Park and operated by the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC.) The course is open to the public year-round. Call (404) 761-0731 to book a tee-time.
