Senior/Disabled Property Tax Homestead Exemption

The Mayor & City Council of College Park have arranged for each resident of the City of College Park who is a senior citizen or who is disabled be granted an Annual 100% Property Tax Exemption contingent on that homeowner's homestead status. The City finds that Primary Residence Homestead Exemptions can help alleviate the burden of rising property tax costs and ensure that seniors and people with disabilities have access to essential services such as: water, gas and electric without sacrificing other necessities. Each senior citizen or disabled resident of College Park, having an existing homestead exemption will be granted an abatement of their Net Municipal Taxes due after the existing homestead exemption is applied. Those who qualify will receive a credit equivalent on their 2024 City Tax bill (only the City of College Park's portion)
