MARTA is improving and modernizing its Airport Station to best serve travelers and employees at the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International. The construction work at the rail station has been ongoing for two years and has reached a phase where a temporary closure of the station is necessary to replace the flooring on the concourse and platform levels and prepare the station for a canopy structure that will mirror that over the Airport terminal.
MARTA’s Airport Station will close for six weeks from Monday, April 8th through Sunday, May 19th and bus shuttle service will be provided between College Park rail station and the North Terminal Lower Level at the airport, doors LN1 and LN2. The shuttle will run 22 hours a day, 4 a.m. to 2 a.m., and is conveniently located in the bus loop at College Park Station and near the employee entrance at the airport.
