Lindell Y. Miller – Interim City Manager, City of College Park
The Mayor and City Council of College Park have appointed Lindell Y. Miller as the Interim City Manager. College Park, home to nearly 14,000 residents and located next to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, welcomes Ms. Miller as she steps into this important leadership role.
Ms. Miller brings over 20 years of experience working in state, county, and city government. Her areas of expertise include government operations, economic development programs, small business certifications, procurement, capital improvement projects, and managing both federally and locally funded construction efforts. She has also led major software system upgrades and helped create and implement government policies and procedures.
Ms. Miller has managed large-scale construction projects such as amphitheaters, wastewater treatment facilities, courthouses, and park renovations. These projects ranged in value from $30 million to $300 million. In her previous roles, she successfully completed the $30 million Stockbridge Amphitheater, led programs to help local businesses work with government, and managed stormwater improvement projects across several Georgia communities.
Ms. Miller has also served in Florida, where she worked in the Office of the Inspector General and was the Procurement Director for the City of Miami Gardens.
“I am excited by the opportunity to serve the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, Council, and the beautiful residents of the City of College Park,” said Ms. Miller. “Together, I hope we can build a strong team and improve our operations to better serve residents, business owners, and visitors to our airport gateway city.”
As Interim City Manager, Ms. Miller will oversee all city departments and agencies, manage city staff, implement the city’s budget, and help enforce city laws and ordinances. She reports directly to the Mayor and City Council.
Ms. Miller holds both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She is also a Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), certified through the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council and the National Institute of Government Procurement (NIGP).
