The City of College Park's Emergency Management Team is currently monitoring confirmed reports from the Fulton County Board of Health pertaining to the West Nile Virus in surrounding areas. While no cases have been confirmed within the City of College Park at this time, we are currently taking the necessary proactive steps to help protect our residents.
In response, mosquito control spraying will be conducted throughout the city. A full schedule of spraying dates and locations will be released soon.
In the meantime, please take the following steps to protect yourself and your family:
Use EPA-registered insect repellents containing DEET
Wear long sleeves and pants when outdoors, especially during dawn and dusk.
Remove standing water from containers such as buckets, flower pots, and birdbaths.
Keep doors and windows closed or properly screened.
